Interview with Ms. Liz

After “Language Palooza” we really liked the way Ms. Liz talked about her heritage so we decided to do an interview with her to learn some more about her.

Question (A.G.): How does it feel to be Mexican?
Answer: I am proud of my heritage. My culture is very rich and was a big influence in my life.

Question (J.S.): What celebrations do Mexicans celebrate?
Answer: Christmas, Easter, Quinceanera, Day of the Dead, and Saints Day are all celebrations we love to celebrate.

Question (A.P.): What college did you go to? Why?
Answer: I went to the University of Texas El Paso for college, University of Texas Arlington for part of her master’s degree, and SUNY Pittsburgh for the rest of my master’s degree.

Question (A.G.): What subject do you teach in UAI?
Answer: Espanol

Question (All): Why did you decide to teach us girls at UAI?
Answer: I was very excited to teach at UAI.
