Ms. Cindy is a great teacher at UAI. She teaches EA to the 6th graders and makes it fun for us all! Learn more about her in the interview below!

Question: What do you like about your job?
Answer: I like helping students learn about academics as well as themselves.

Question: Is ELA harder to teach to girls or boys?
Answer: It’s hard to teach both genders because I’m always trying to find things for my students to read and write about that are interesting for each of them.

Question: Who is your hero in your real life and in the media (superstars, famous people)?
Answer: In reality my dad is my hero because he taught me about hard work. In the media I would say Wendy Williams because she has taught me about being myself.

Question: When are you the happiest, in the morning or at night?
Answer: I am the happiest in the morning when I can start fresh for the day.

Question: What does ELA really mean to you?
Answer: ELA is all about becoming a reader and writer so you can continue to learn and explore with books and your own writing.

Question: Why did you choose to teach this subject?
Answer: I decided to teach ELA because  reading books as a group helps bring people together.

Question: What are your favorite hobbies, foods, holidays, subjects, and sport activities?
Answer: My favorite hobby is working out, walking Herbert, hanging out with my family, reading, and drawing. My favorite food is lobster. My favorite holidays are Christmas and Labor Day. My favorite subjects are gym and recess, and my favorite sports activity is riding my bike.
