Something Tokidoki

By: K.P.

Tokidoki is a happy world that is delightful, charming, whimsical, and pure with a sophisticated edge.
Tokidoki is a line of apparel, handbags, cosmetics, jewelry, hats, and many more accessories that has become very popular due to the beautiful and fun designs and anime characters.

Now think about your middle school problems. Tokidoki can relieve you from the stress, pressure, and drama that is middle school.

The founder of Tokidoki is Simone Legno. Simone Legno was born in Rome. Before creating Tokidoki, Simone Legno was a graphic designer and illustrator in Italy.
Legno’s mother was a classical painter.
Ever since Legno was a child he loved drawing. He also loved drawing. He also absolutely loves Japan and its’ culture. He especially loves the cartoons and anime. As do I. What he loves the most about anime is its creativity and modern it is.
But what does Tokidoki mean?
Tokidoki means “sometimes” in Japanese. Legno choose a Japanese word to show his love for Japan.

How did Tokidoki start?
Well, Legno made a website to display his artwork. In 2003 he received an email through his Tokidoki website. The email was from the co-founder of Hard Candy cosmetics. Then with that email Legno was offered the opportunity to create designs for the latest Lesportsac bags (the Luna series). This was a very successful moment for Legno.
